Step 1: How to report abuse on Skype
When you receive an invitation on Skype, you have the option of accepting, ignoring or blocking the invitation. When you choose to block the invitation, you’re immediately given a short report to why you want to block the user.
Under the Help tab in Skype, follow the instructions that lead to the security and blocked accounts tab.
The instructions are however vary based on the version of Skype you’re using, Skype for Windows or Skype for Mac OS X.
Step 2: Reporting Abusive Content on Twitter
Once you’ve logged in and an account is harassing you with inappropriate content such as pornography or vulgar language, here’s an easy way to block that account.
Click on the specific account. On the right side just beneath the banner is the settings button, click on it and hover down to either Mute, Block or Report.

Step 3: Tools by Facebook for Addressing Abuse
There are 5 things you can do on Facebook
- Send a message to the person responsible for posting
- Unfriend the person to remove them from your friend list
- Block the person from contacting you
- Report the person if their behaviour is abusive
- Use privacy settings
Click on the profile you’d like to block, enter the name or email address of the person you want to block and click Block.
If you entered a name, select the specific person you want to block from the list that appears.
Accounts you block will not be alerted when you block them.
If you can’t find someone using this method, try going to the person’s profile and selecting Block from the menu on their cover photo.
If you still can’t find the person you want to block, it’s likely that this person no longer uses Facebook or has restricted their privacy settings. Keep in mind that you can always control the audience of stuff you share.
Step 4: Here’s how to block or report an account on LinkedIn
The easiest way to block or report a LinkedIn user is by going to the users account. Near their photo, click the down arrow and select block or report from the list. A new screen will open, then select block or report and choose the reason. Press continue to agree you want to block the person and they will not bother you again.
Step 5: When accounts don’t adhere to Instagram, here’s how to block them
When an account is posting irrelevant images, the easiest way to block or report them is by clicking on the user’s profile. On the top right next to the follow or unfollow tab is the down arrow, click on the down arrow and choose between block and report. Follow the instructions and then agree to the terms of services by Instagram.
